Introduction

is our free DNS service with 10 locations around the globe. Point your domains and:

  • Never configure DNS records manually again. Run one command to alias your deployment.
  • Never worry about your server missing criticial record types (like ALIAS).
  • Never worry about propagation times or global reach when shipping to production.
  • Never go through the extra DNS config or stakeholder in order to ship to production.

Get started

Linking your developments to public domains and subdomains can be a difficult, error-ridden and slow process. Here's how you can fix this with now:

1. Point your domains to our nameservers

Pick four locations to optimize both latency and redundancy.

HostIP
amsterdam.zeit.world188.226.197.55
california.zeit.world173.255.215.107
dallas.zeit.world173.192.101.194
frankfurt.zeit.world91.109.245.139

london.zeit.world178.62.47.76
newark.zeit.world173.255.231.87
paris.zeit.world37.123.115.172
singapore.zeit.world119.81.97.170
sydney.zeit.world52.64.171.200

2. Alias your deployments

When you deploy and subsequently run now alias we:

  • Automatically configure your DNS records.
Don't worry about figuring out ALIAS or CNAME records.
Works for naked domains (i.e.: yourdomain.com without www)
  • Intelligently redirect traffic without dropping any requests
If you change the underlying alias of a domain, you don't incur in any downtime.
  • Provision SSL certificates with Let's Encrypt on the fly.
We serve all your content over encrypted HTTP/2 with only modern ciphers.

Let's say you want to deploy a Node.js app. First, you would deploy with

▲ now

That will give you a URL to your new deployment (or list with now ls). Then run:

▲ now alias my-deployment-{uid} my-domain.com

And you're set! now alias will verify the ownership of your domain and automatically configure it.

NOTE: If you are not using zeit.world, you can still point specific hosts to alias.zeit.co via ALIAS or CNAME manually.
